I decided to paint the last batch of 20 US Paratroopers from Artizan Design that I have.

The figures were cleaned and glued on a base. The base was textured and the figures were basecoated in black.

The first step is to paint the M42 uniform and the webbing in a medium brown color ( Vallejo Game - Earth / Citadel - Graveyard Earth / Foundry - Rawhide A )

The Helmet are painted in dark green with a bit of dark grey ( Vallejo Model - American Green 893 / Citadel - Catachan Green)

Then I painted the flesh parts ( face and hands), the boots ( Vallejo Game - Beasty Brown / Citadel - Bestial brown), the helmet straps and the rifle stocks ( Vallejo Game - Charred Brown / Citadel - Scorched Brown) and the guns (gun metal)

The flesh parts received a flesh wash and the metallic parts a black ink one.

Once it’s dried, I painted the base colour of the M42 uniform with a sand colour ( Vallejo Model - Desert yellow 977 )

Then I painted the webbing, ammo pounches, musette bags, etc in a Khaki colour ( Vallejo Model - Khaki 988 / Citadel Kommando Khaki ).

I painted the face, the eyes, then I highlighted the face and the hands.

I highlighted the uniform, the webbing etc.

Then the boots with red leather (Vallejo Model - Red cuir 818 ), the helmet straps, the weapons stocks (Vallejo GAme - Parasite Brown / Citadel - vermin brown)

I varnished the figures with a matt varnish before working on the base as it’s easier to man when you paint the base

And finally I finished the base with a layer of brown ( Vallejo Game - Earth / Citadel - Graveyard Earth / Foundry - Rawhide A ) , dry brushed it with Khaki and I added patches of static grass.

I needed about 15 hours to paint the 20 paratroopers, not too bad.
