Lady Isabeau, the sister of Thibauld de St-Germain, a knight Templar, commander of a small keep, has been kidnapped by Raoul of Exoudun and his men. Brother commander Thibauld de St-Germain along with Enguerrand de Bizeneuille, Brother knight, mounted brother sergeants and men-at-arms attempt to rescue Isabeau.

Thibauld de St-Germain gathered his brother knight and brother sergeants not far from the hamlet while he ordered his men-at-arms ( spearmen and crossbowmen) to advance towards the place using the stone bridge.

The men-at-arms advance under a rain of arrows but not very accurate.

Raoul of Exoudun sends Jehan, his banner bearer with Pierre a mounted sergeant and some men-at-arms to welcome the charging mounted templars.

Thibauld de St-Germain, Enguerrand de Bizeneuilles and Templar’s gonfanon bearer clash with theincoming Exoudun’s men while two brother sergeants bypass the church.

The spearmen advance under the protecting fire from the crossbowmen.

Raoul of Exoudun and Guy de Graçay move to intercept the mounted templar sergeants.

Enguerrand of Bizeneuilles is out of action and falls down from his horse.

The men-at-arms fight begins while bowmen and crossbowmen exchange arrows and bolts.

Guillot, the Templar gonfanon bearer is out of action. Thibauld de St-Germain is facing two mounted sergeants and two sergeants on foot alone.

A furious fight is in progress near the entrance of the hamlet. Several men at arms are out of actions

The Templar crossbowmen manage to disrupt some of the Exoudun bowmen who flee

Guy de Graçay is out of action. Both side has heavy casualties.

The remaining templar men-at-arms try to resist.

Jehan, Exoudun banner bearer rides towards Raoul to help him.

Finally Thibauld de St-Germain is forced to fall back with his men but without Isabeau his sister.
