    Here is an after action report of a demo game with the scenario "Action at Galmanche" from the rulesbook of IABSM v3 of the Too Fat Lardies

    On the 8th of July, 1944, north of Caen, the C Company, 2/6 South Staffordshire Regiment and Shermans of the East Riding Yeomanry have to capture the hamlet of Galmanche defended by the 7 Kompanie, 25 SS Panzer Grenadier Regiment.

    The british blinds advance and are automatically spotted in the open.

    The Pak40 hidden in the orchard in the centre opens fire and manages to destroy two shermans including CPT Beaumont’s one before another blind moves farther

    and is spotted, it is the 3rd platoon.

    On the left flank towards the Chateau, LT Oiksworth’s 2nd platoon has been spotted and is under heavy fire by the german pz-grenadieren. One of the british section loses its bottle and withdraws.

    Antother squad of the 2nd platoon withdraws while the 1st platoon is ambushed by two more german groups hidden in the woods.

    2 sections of the 1st platoon lose their bottle and withdraw despite the desperated efforts of LT Roundwood and Corporal Dawes.

    The Sherman of the second platoon fire at the woods.

    One the german gruppen withdraws.

    In the background, the 3rd platoon is under fire and one section withdraws. The 1st and 2nd platoons’ units have lost their bottle and withdrew.

    Without Infantry, the british commander decides to cancel the attack. It is a german victory.
