Here is an after action report of a feudal skirmish during the 13th century. In this scenario the french knights Florent de Ville and Alain du Roucy must protect the rearguard train against the allies, Robert de Béthune and Hellin de Wavrin, vassals of the count of Flanders.

The french party is deployed deep in the hamlet to protect the baggage train.

    The flemish force attacks

A brave (or foulish) french sergeant charges the horsemen.

And he fails to stop them

The flemish knights and mounted sergeants are stopped by french men-at-arms.

The flemish men-at-arms finally reach the hamlet.

A flemish group of men-at-arms tries to hold Florent the Ville and his banner bearer.

French crossbowmen try to slow down the flemish sergants.

Alain de Roucy and his sergeant finally join the melee in the hamlet

Hellin de Wavrin is put out of action by a french sergeant

Despite causing casualties, Florent de Ville is unable to join the main fight.

The flemish force has the momentum and push back the french party

The french crossbowmen are no match for the flemish men-at-arms.

In the hamlet a flemish mounted sergeant is down

But de Ville’s banner is down at the same time.

Béthune’s standard bearer is put out of action

However, Robert de Béthune defeats Alain de Roucy.

The baggage train is safe but the french party runs for the hills.
