Here is an after action report of a feudal skirmish during the 13th century. In this scenario the french knights Florent de Ville and Alain the Roucy must protect the rearguard train against the allies, Robert de Béthune and Hellin de Wavrin, vassals of the count of Flanders.

Florent de Ville and Alain de Roucy are in the centre with men-at-arms on both flanks.

    The main flemish force attacks.

The french right flank leaves its position to engage the flemish sergeants.

The flemish cavalry assaults the french men-at-arms behind the fences.

The french men-at-arms hold the ground

The flemish sergeants attack the french troops.

The flemish men-at-arms on the rear regroup to resist a charge.

    The french knights charge

They now engage the flemish horsemen.

A furious melee is in progress with knights, mounted sergeants and men-at-arms.

A long line of fights is now established in front of the hamlet

The french men-at-arms try to cut the Bethune’s standard bearer off the fight.

    De Ville’s banner is down

Alain de Roucy is attacked by Hellin de Wavrin and flemish men-at-arms.

And Alain de Roucy is put out of action too !

However the baggage train is safe and the flemish party is the first to loose its bottle.
