K&M Trees and Old Metal bases

Recently I decided to buy K&M trees in order to use a stock of old tree metal bases from Citadel Miniatures (or Marauder Miniatures ?). I bought them nearly 25 years ago with my first K&M Trees.

I really like them for they are heavy so the trees are very steady on a wargame table.

The 13 metal bases that I decided to use along with 7 plastic ones

I used the plastic bases with the smaller trees (90mm), the large bases are used with the big trees.

I painted the bases in dark brown

I brushed the roots with medium brown and the ground with earth brown

I drybrushed khaky on the ground

Once dry, I varnished the bases

Then here comes the flocking phase

The bases are now ready and I can added the trees.
